Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward?

Whether you’re navigating a recent stressor, life events or something that’s been there for a long time, therapy can offer a space to pause, reflect, make sense of things, and work through roadblocks.

Many of the people I work with are:

  • Navigating anxiety, stress or excessive worry
  • Feeling disconnected or dissatisfied in their relationships, or struggle with communication
  • Struggling with self-criticism, self-doubt or internal pressure
  • Exploring long-standing patterns and confusing emotions
  • Wanting to understand themselves, grow and find coping strategies to help navigate challenges

What Individual Therapy is about?

I like to think of therapy as a deeply personal journey.

Individual therapy aims to deepening your understanding of your inner world, thoughts and behaviours, and to enhance emotional well-being and personal change.

I provide a supportive, collaborative and person-centred environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours to increase insight, to build emotional resilience, and to promote lasting changes that lead to a more fulfilling and balanced life.

Who is Individual Therapy for and is Individual Therapy Right for You?

Therapy is for anyone navigating difficult moments or facing challenges that impact their mental health and emotional well-being, but also for those who want to deepen their self-understanding and strive to become the best version of themselves.

Perhaps:

  • You feel the need and curiosity to better understand yourself, or want a space to pause, reflect and check in with yourself.
  • You’re navigating life changes, stress, or emotional difficulties and need support.
  • You are looking for a space to ‘make sense’ of your experiences, process emotions, and gain clarity.
  • You often feel anxious, overwhelmed, or low, and you’re not sure why. Or perhaps you do know why but you still feel stuck. Perhaps you are recognizing recurring patterns that keep you feeling this way and want to change.
  • You experience relationship challenges and want to improve communication and connection.
  • You need practical strategies to manage stress, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm, or:
  • You feel well-equipped with practical strategies, but they don’t seem to be enough.

There is nothing permanent except change

Therapy Approach:
Person-centred, collaborative and integrative

You may find my therapeutic style helpful if you are looking for a flexible approach to give you an opportunity to explore yourself, to improve your relationships, if you are struggling with long-standing issues, and if you’re looking for additional depth.

Perhaps you have all the ‘skills’, but challenging thoughts or using strategies may feel like a band aid or a temporary fix.

I work from a person-centred foundation, which means therapy is built around you – your pace, your experiences, your inner world and your therapy needs.

Therapy is a collaborative process: we work together to make sense of your experiences and find new ways of understanding and responding to them.

My approach is integrative, meaning I draw upon different evidence-based approaches and modalities to fit your needs and goals, such as:

  • Emotion-Focussed Therapy
  • Schema Therapy
  • Psychodynamic-, attachment-, trauma-informed practice.
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapies such as: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Special focus is given to emotional aspects to support deeper insight and lasting change.

What to Expect from Individual Therapy via Telehealth Therapy

In our sessions, you can expect a flexible and collaborative approach. I may invite you to decide what feels most important to talk about; other times, we might explore together what would be most helpful to focus on, or agree on a shared agenda.

Online therapy offers flexibility, privacy, and convenience without compromising the quality of care. Working with an online psychologist allows you to access individual therapy from anywhere in Australia, whether you have a busy schedule, live remotely, or simply feel more comfortable talking from home. All you need is a private space and a stable internet connection.

Wondering if this is the Right Fit?
