ONLINE ADULT ADHD ASSESSMENT IN AUSTRALIA
Thoughtful and structured adult ADHD assessment, conducted online with a registered psychologist via secure telehealth Australia-wide.
This assessment is designed for adults questioning whether ADHD may help explain long-standing difficulties.
An initial consultation is available if you would first like to clarify whether proceeding with the full assessment is appropriate.
You May Have Managed for Years, at a Cost.
Many adults who seek an ADHD assessment have spent years functioning well on the surface while privately struggling with patterns such as:
- Chronic overwhelm despite capability
- Persistent procrastination or difficulty starting tasks
- Cycles of burnout
- Emotional intensity
- Feeling constantly behind, even when working hard
- Anxiety that improves somewhat but never fully resolves
For some adults, often women, ADHD can present differently from common stereotypes associated with childhood hyperactivity. It may show up as internal restlessness rather than visible hyperactivity, strong masking skills, perfectionism used to compensate for executive difficulties, that comes at significant personal cost.
An adult ADHD assessment provides a structured way to explore whether ADHD may help make sense of patterns that have felt confusing or exhausting for years.

Step 2: INITIAL CONSULTATION
First stage of the full assessment package or single structured ADHD screening consultation.
What’s included:
- Structured Initial Clinical Interview to gather information about your symptoms and your life history, including but not limited to medical, educational, occupational background.
- Completion of Background Form and Screening Questionnaires prior to your first consultation to support our interview.
Step 3: FULL ASSESSMENT
Following the initial consultation, structured and gold standard tools are used to evaluate adult ADHD symptoms in depth.
What’s included:
- Structured Diagnostic Interview to explore the ADHD symptoms in depth, both in adulthood and childhood, and to follow up our First Interview and areas that might need clarification.
- Completion of Psychometric Measures (Self + Observer): A combination of standardised assessments will be sent to you and to one informant. As part of the diagnostic process, it’s helpful to involve someone who knows you well. This could be a partner, a close friend, a colleague or anyone you feel may best provide insights into your challenges.
- Short Informant’s Interview (if required): A phone interview with a parent or someone that knew you well as a child will be conducted as necessary, particularly should we miss important information regarding childhood or should the available data not be sufficient.
- 30-minute Follow-up Call with You (if required): If any additional clarification is needed after the interviews or after obtaining collateral information, we may schedule an additional 30-minute follow-up call.
- Review of Supporting Documents (if applicable/available): See our FAQS for further information.
- Backstage Work: Your psychologist will spend several hours analysing the available information and writing the assessment report.

Step 4: FEEDBACK & REPORT
Once the previous step are complete, a comprehensive written report will be delivered. This report will include clinical data obtained through interviews, assessment findings and recommendations for treatment options and resources (if applicable).
During the feedback session, we will review the findings and report together, answer any questions, and discuss the possible next steps.
Please note that completing the adult ADHD assessment package does not guarantee an ADHD diagnosis.
